Job Description
Software Engineer
Responsible
for writing and coding from specific requirements.
To create a
storage virtual appliance for existing virtualization solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret
written business requirements and technical specification documents.
Perform
coding to written technical specifications.
Investigate,
analyze and fix reported defects.
Perform
maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
Create,
document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
Skills / Attributes Required:
Demonstrable
Software Product Development experience
Knowledge
of kernel and user space architecture and design
Ability to
interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.
Ability to
code software according to published standards and design guidelines.
Flexible
attitude, ability to perform under pressure.
Eligibility Criteria:
Need to
clear the technical programming tests.
Prior
knowledge of kernel programming would be an added advantage.
File system
and storage knowledge would be an added advantage.
Huge
advantage if you have worked on driver development with VMware or Xen
Hypervisor / Infrastructure.
Those who
cleared programming tests with STEC India, but did not clear the technical
interview.
Good
development expertise in c, c++ user space can also apply.
